J.C. Frey is a veteran investor with 30+ years experience in public and private equity and energy infrastructure.  J.C. was previously the Co-Head of Kayne Anderson's Energy Infrastructure Group where he managed $20B in AUM. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University and an M.S. in Taxation from the University of Southern California.

Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer

P.J. Fielding has over a decade of experience investing in energy, power, and infrastructure. Before co-founding CEP, he managed renewable infrastructure and energy transition funds at Kayne Anderson. P.J. sits on the board of metrobloks, Solar Collective, and GoodPeak. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Partner & Chief Operating Officer

Gary Ghazarian has 20+ years in fund operations and investment management, including as Partner and Director of Operations at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. He previously advised institutional investors at Wilshire Associates. He holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California.

Bill King has more than two decades of real estate investing, development, and asset management experience.  He is a senior team member in the firm’s Powered Land Strategy and leads its new initiative to develop multi-family ADUs under California’s SB1211. Most recently Bill was a senior partner at Bancroft Capital overseeing acquisitions, asset management, and mixed-use investments across the western United States. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Chief Financial Officer

Greg Brackett has over two decades of CFO experience at Freeman Spogli & Co. and Caltius Capital Management, following earlier work at KPMG’s financial services group. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business Economics from UCLA and is a CPA (inactive) and CFA charterholder.

Associate

Levi Kohl supports investment evaluation, diligence, and portfolio monitoring for CEP. He previously worked at Penn Hill Capital on fleet electrification, distributed energy, and behind-the-meter datacenter investments, and at Waterlily Capital on fundraising and investor relations across energy infrastructure, special situations, and venture strategies. He holds an M.B.A. from the USC Marshall School of Business, where he researched national energy policy with Professor Michael Mische, and a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis

Associate - Development & Operations

C.B. Frey supports diligence, research, and client communications for CEP. He previously worked in real estate with Sotheby’s Washington D.C. and studied Accounting and Finance at American University.
